According to VitalChek FAQs, your order number and pin will be sent to the valid email address you have provided. Check the spam folder as well for the confirmation letter. If you haven't received the letter, contact VitalChek customer service via Ask a Question option at their website.

VitalChek faq page states that if you have already placed an order on the company web site or by telephone with one of their customer service agents, the Estimated Processing Time for your order can be found on the Order Confirmation email you were sent at the time it was placed. You can also access VitalChek Order Receipt which will also have the processing time by visiting the My Order page. Simply login with the 8-digit Order Number and 6-digit PIN you were provided in your confirmation email.

the information on my birth certificate is wrong.

I ordered my birth certificate and where it says birthplace it says North Carolina but I was not born in North Carolina. I was born in Maryland. How do I get this changed?

According to the VitalCheck answers section, you should contact the agency directly to correct or amend the certificate. VitalChek will only be able to provide limited assistance for any corrections/amendments that must be made on an original record. To get the contact information for the agency you ordered from, you may visit the Agency Listings page on vitalchek.com. This will give you a list of the states and city/county vital records offices that VitalCheck works with. When selecting a state, it will provide contact details for the state and/or county and city offices.
You may also obtain contact information for the agency by visiting the National Center for Health Statistic's site at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/w2w.html.
You may also submit a question to VitalCheck by using the Contacts form on vitalcheck.com.

According to the VitalCheck help center, the company services nearly 400 vital records agencies across the United States, so the processing time of any location can vary and is further varied by the method of delivery chosen when you place your order. On average, most agency locations tend to process Express delivery orders in 3-5 business days, and Standard Mail orders in 7-10 business days.
Express delivery orders are those where any UPS or FedEx delivery services have been selected.
Standard Mail orders are those where US Postal Service Standard Mail has been selected as the delivery method.
The Estimated Processing Time for your order can be found on the Order Confirmation email you were sent at the time it was placed.
You can also access your Order Receipt which should also have the processing time by visiting the My Order page. Simply login with the 8-digit Order Number and 6-digit PIN you should be provided in your confirmation email.

I applied for my birth certificate and after numerous attempts it has not been processed due to payment information. I have sent you emails and have tried customer service line.

Both fax and toll free do not work..How can I get through to provide correct payment information. Frustrated

According to the VitalChek faq page, if your processing time has passed, please do the following:
  • Enter your account on vitalchek.com.
  • Choose “Status- What is the status of my Mail order?” or “Status- What is the status of my UPS/Fed Ex order?” (depending on your shipping method).
  • Simply ask “What is the status of my order?”
  • Choose the place of birth, death, marriage, or divorce from the drop-down list.
  • Enter your order number (if you do not have an order number, simply enter "NA" in that field).

If VitalChek has no update, they should reply and do the following:
  • Ask you to verify the order details.
  • After verifying this, they should send your "Status Request" to the vital records office.

You may also ask VitalChek about your order status by sending them an email at vitalchek_gateway@mailca.custhelp.com.

As stated on vitalchek-solutions.custhelp.com, some vital records agencies have strict limits on who can order a vital record. Additionally, there can be restrictions on who can order a record using online services.
During the ordering, process customer is presented with specific requirements for the relevant vital records agency. The 'Important Agency Information' screen contains information entitled 'Who Can Order?' which is specific to each requested certificate. Please contact VitalChek customer care team to get more information about this issue. You may reach out to them by email at vitalchek_gateway@mailca.custhelp.com. I've sent the wrong birth certificates and it's in the totally different name than mine. How can I get my money back or the right birth certificate ASAP because spending $94 on a birth certificate is a little much because this is turning out to be a scam.
